Quick Description:A comprehensive hormone test to “map” your entire menstrual cycle and assess levels of sex hormones throughout the month.
For some women, testing reproductive hormones (progesterone, estrogen, etc.) on a single day with an HPA Stress profile is sufficient. In other situations, the clinical picture cannot be properly captured without “mapping” out the hormonal pattern throughout their menstrual cycle. A disruption in the normal rhythms of estrogen and progesterone throughout the cycle can lead to infertility or hormonal imbalance. By using the Female Hormone Cycle Mapping Test, a complete picture of your month-long cycle in graph format will allow for a more accurate and comprehensive treatment program specific to your unique biology. Dr. Jamie will be able to determine if and when you are ovulating, and why you are having mid-cycle spotting or hormonal migraines. This will enable Dr. Jamie to get a clear understanding of how your ovaries are functioning and develop a personalized treatment program for you.
What’s Included in the Premenopause Hormone (Cycle Mapping) Test?
Up to 17 salivary samples are taken every other day starting on day two of the cycle giving a total of 17 measurements of estradiol and progesterone. Two measurements of testosterone are taken on days 10 and 18 of the cycle. These multiple measurements taken throughout the month provide a clear picture of your entire cycle’s hormone levels and rhythms, enabling Dr. Jamie to create a more accurate treatment protocol for your unique hormonal presentation.
